The Journey
Founded in 2007 by Ben Crist, The Glorious Unseen emerged from Nashville’s thriving underground scene. Our debut album, Tonight the Stars Speak, quickly established TGU as a raw voice for those seeking something genuine amidst the noise. Our sound is deeply rooted in intimate worship, balancing cinematic post-rock textures with an emotional weight born out of alternative subcultures.
"Worship always has to progress and be given a new sound. That’s what we aim to bring—a new sound that reflects God’s heart for this generation."
— Ben Crist
We believe worship should inspire, challenge, and break people open for a transformative encounter. Whether in hidden rooms, small fellowships, or heavy rock festivals, our heartbeat remains consistent. We are an exploration of brokenness, honest lament, and relentless renewal.

Tonight The Stars Speak
Tonight the stars speak of your infinite love And it serves to remind me That what I have means nothing at all Compared to your glory, Oh Lord How long till your voice speaks clearly? How long till your arms envelope me? I cry be my strength when I am weak Oh Lord have mercy on me please My spirit is willing but my flesh is so weak I cry in your arms now God grant me the strength to rest in you I lift my hands and cry
